This week, Protect Our Care is holding events in Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin to hold Donald Trump and Republicans accountable for their self-made health care crisis. Since day one in office, Trump and Congressional Republicans have targeted American health care in their endless crusade to fund tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations. They made the largest health care cuts in history and set off a domino effect of coverage loss, hospitals, nursing homes, and other providers being put at risk of closing, and chaos in our health care system. Now they are ending the health care tax credits that over 21 million Americans rely on, causing premiums to more than double. The Senate is expected to vote to restore the health care tax credits on Thursday, but Republicans are still dead set on ripping them away. The American people have had enough. It’s time for Republicans to end their health care crisis and protect hard-working families.
