Director of Policy Programs
Protect Our Care, which has led the fight against efforts to repeal and sabotage our health care while working to improve and expand coverage for millions of Americans, is looking to hire a Director of Policy Programs. This position will focus on implementation and defense of the key provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act, particularly related to prescription drugs, and other POC priorities within HHS. The Director of Policy Programs will work closely with and engage with other key departments at Protect Our Care including research, communications, legislative outreach and digital.

Location: Washington, D.C. or Remote
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time
Reports to: Executive Director
Comprehensive benefits package included. Salary up to $150,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Creating an integrated strategy to achieve POC goals
- Serving as the overall project manager for POC’s efforts in this area
- Representing POC in coalitions with other organizations and allies
- Direct engagement with senior HHS and Administration officials
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Significant experience on Capitol Hill or HHS
- Policy familiarity with the provisions of the IRA
- Strong writing and communications skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, action oriented organization
