During their summer recess, Republicans had to face angry constituents everywhere they went as outraged Americans continue to feel the consequences of the Trump-GOP bill. More than 15 million Americans will lose their health care, while hospitals, nursing homes, and care facilities across the country close their doors, just to fund tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations. At the same time, premium costs are skyrocketing for families across the nation. Republicans were booed out of town halls, heckled during community events, and plagued by devastating headlines.
Since August, Protect Our Care has held 17 events in 11 states. And, upon their return to Washington, D.C., there won’t be any respite for Republicans. Protect Our Care has launched Accountability Autumn: The Trump-GOP Health Care Disaster to continue to hold them accountable for breaking our health care system.
