Republicans are going home for recess and about to face their constituents for the first time since passing their big, ugly bill. New Navigator polling shows a majority of Americans oppose the Republican tax scam, saying Republicans are hurting hard-working people in order to benefit the rich. This follows a slew of polls confirming Americans deeply disapprove of the largest cuts to health care in history made by Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans. As a direct result of this tax scam, more than 15 million Americans will lose their health care in order to fund massive tax breaks for the wealthiest individuals and corporations. Not only will millions lose coverage, but insurance premiums will skyrocket for middle-class families, hundreds of rural hospitals and nursing homes will shut their doors, thousands will lose jobs, and states and local economies will be left to suffer, and entire communities will be left behind. Hospitals and nursing homes around the country are already cutting back or closing their doors as a result of the GOP bill, premium hikes will go into effect this fall, kicking people off their coverage by winter. Donald Trump and Republicans can continue to lie about this bill all they want, but they have sealed their political fate. Here’s the latest polling:
