Starting next week, because of Republicans’ insistence on ripping away health care tax credits,  millions of Americans will begin receiving notices that their premiums for next year are doubling or more. The result is that people’s monthly costs for health care will spike at a time when they are already struggling to keep up with rising prices for everyday expenses. These premium increases will devastate the budgets of over 20 million people, about half of whom work for a small business. A quarter of farmers and ranchers in America rely on this coverage for their health care. Around 4 million people will become uninsured because the premium increases are so unaffordable.

Americans already oppose the Republican shutdown and their war on health care. And when they see premium increases like this their anger will only grow:

Republicans must act immediately and put a stop to their health care crisis. Many consumers have already received notices stating that, without Congressional action, their costs will go up.
