To Expose the Costs of Republican Health Care Cuts, Protect Our Care Has Launched a Month-Long Campaign, “Technical Foul: The GOP’s Health Care Madness

Skyrocketing premiums and disappearing coverage are forcing families to make impossible choices such as cutting back on utilities, going without the life-saving care they need, or even skipping meals, according to a Gallup poll. Republicans have ripped away tax credits that helped nearly 22 million people afford coverage, all to fund tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.

This is a crisis playing out in kitchens, bedrooms, and hospital rooms across the country. Every number in the headlines represents a real person being crushed under the weight of Republican health care cuts. Seniors are skipping prescriptions, parents are delaying doctors’ visits, and families are forced to decide between putting food on the table or having life-saving coverage. The consequences are devastating and far-reaching across the country, and millions more Americans are at risk of losing coverage as time goes on.

Protect Our Care is highlighting the real stories of people hit hardest by Republican cuts, including families grappling with premium hikes and rising prescription drug costs, and holding the GOP accountable for their relentless attacks on health care during the month-long campaign, “Technical Foul: The GOP’s Health Care Madness.”
