The Affordable Care Act (ACA) turned 16 this week, but it’s turning out to be a not-so-sweet 16. Over one million have been priced out of coverage, and many more will follow as families are forced to make impossible choices as Trump and Republicans’ war on health care wreaks havoc. Across the country, lawmakers and health care advocates are making one thing clear: the progress of the past 16 years is under threat, and the stakes for protecting affordable health care have never been higher.
