Washington, D.C. — As Democrats in Congress are on the cusp of passing the Build Back Better Act, new reporting indicates Republican lawmakers are focused on blocking a key provision that lowers prescription drug prices for working families. A pharmaceutical lobbyist revealed to Politico that the Republicans’ “operating plan” is to challenge any provision that would rein in the high costs of prescription drugs.
