Today, former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Susan Monarez testified in front of the Senate HELP committee tomorrow after being fired for refusing to rubber-stamp RFK Jr’s anti-science agenda. For the past six months, RFK Jr. has wreaked havoc on our public health system. He has dismantled the CDC, gutted Medicare, Medicaid, the ACA, and medical research, restricted vaccine access, and spread lies about autism and disease treatment. At the same time, the Trump administration’s catastrophic health care cuts are taking effect, ripping away coverage and hiking costs for millions of Americans. The result is a public health crisis that will only continue to get worse.
