Rachel Roth Aldhizer cares for a son with extensive medical conditions. The essential care that her son receives–doctors’ appointments, surgeries, respite care workers, and more–is only affordable because of Medicaid.
“Recent cuts to Medicaid at both the federal and state levels mean millions of families like mine could soon be at a loss for how to care for our disabled loved ones,” she wrote in the New York Times. “David’s life simply wouldn’t be possible without this program.”
