Washington, D.C. – On Monday, Protect Our Care’s “Sick of It! Fix Health Care Now” bus tour rolled through Adams County, Colorado, where speakers called out Donald Trump and Republicans for igniting a full-blown health care crisis. In just one week, Republicans in Congress like Gabe Evans will be held accountable for slashing over $1 trillion from Medicaid and gutting the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits to bankroll tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations. Working families are sick of it, and they will make their voices heard.

“Trump and Republicans deliberately threw working families to the wolves when they slashed health care by over $1 trillion to fund tax breaks for billionaires,” said Protect Our Care President Brad Woodhouse. “Their cuts have thrown over 20,000 Coloradans off the coverage they relied on to see a doctor. 18 hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics across the state are at risk of cutting services or closing. They knew this would happen and they did it anyway. That’s why we’ve taken the fight directly to Republicans’ doorsteps with our ‘Sick of It! Fix Health Care Now’ bus tour. We’re leaving them with a clear message: Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
