About the tour

They made a choice. Families are paying for it.

Trump and Republicans cut more than $1 trillion from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act to fund tax breaks for billionaires. Premiums are climbing, coverage is being gutted, and families are choosing between filling prescriptions and paying rent.

At every stop, lawmakers, local leaders, and members of Protect Our Care’s Storyteller Corps are lifting up real stories and holding lawmakers responsible for these devastating cuts.

The tour is the centerpiece of Sick Of It!, Protect Our Care’s largest grassroots campaign to date, built alongside dozens of state and national partners.

On the road

Out in the streets.

Patients, health care workers, union members, and local leaders are showing up at every stop. Here’s what the tour looks like on the ground.

What we’re fighting for

We’re angry. And we have a plan.

At every stop, we’re calling on lawmakers to act on the commonsense solutions Americans are asking for.

01

Lower premium costs

Restore the Affordable Care Act tax credits Republicans ripped away and stop premiums from skyrocketing for millions of families.

02

Reverse the Medicaid cuts

Undo Republicans’ Medicaid cuts that hurt children, seniors, people with disabilities, and families.

03

Lower prescription drug costs

Expand Medicare’s power to negotiate lower prices for more drugs, and bring the $2,000 out-of-pocket cap and $35 insulin cap to people with private coverage.
