Melanie Sandoval experienced a medical emergency during her third pregnancy. Medicaid coverage became a lifeline for her then, but now, with the GOP cuts, she fears what the future holds for herself and other single mothers.
“I would have to do an out-of-pocket pay which would be thousands of dollars a month,” She told KRIS 6 NEWS. “I didn’t have any money and I had one diaper left and I had to figure it out. I know what it’s like to be missed, to fall through the cracks,” Sandoval said.
