Republicans have a massive health care problem on their hands — a problem they created with slash-and-burn policies that rip coverage from working families to fund tax breaks for the uber-rich, and a problem they doubled down on yesterday by voting to rip away the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits that help nearly 22 million Americans stay healthy and out of crippling medical debt. While Democrats in Congress voted unanimously to give working families back these tax credits, Trump and the GOP are using their power to gut them. As a result, millions of Americans living paycheck-to-paycheck will have Republicans to blame when their premiums skyrocket in the new year.

The American people have had enough of Trump and his billionaire-run administration looking out only for themselves while hard-working families suffer the consequences. Voters know Republicans are to blame for jacking up their health care premiums, forcing millions off their insurance, and raising the cost of everyday goods. As the year draws to a close, all Trump and the GOP can offer voters on either side of the aisle are doubling and tripling health insurance premiums.
