Americans in every corner of the country are buckling under the weight of soaring health care costs. After Trump and Republicans ripped away the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits that 22 million people relied on to fund tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations, premiums have doubled, tripled, and quadrupled, insurers are backing out of the ACA marketplace, and families are being forced to choose between putting food on the table and seeing a doctor.

Over 5 million Americans — and counting — have already lost their coverage. From North Carolina to California, working families like Ross and Rebecca Tobiassen are having their health care ripped away from them after their monthly premiums more than quadrupled from $130 to over $550. Jason Miller of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, lost his coverage after his monthly premiums spiked from $80 to $374. This is only the beginning. For those who still have coverage, rising health care costs are forcing families into impossible choices, from cutting back on essential spending to taking on medical debt.
