The GOP’s war on health care is driving up premiums across the board, with families, workers, and health care providers all bracing for crushing premium hikes. Regardless of where they get coverage, most Americans will pay more for health care in 2027, and that’s all by Republicans’ design. They first ignited this crisis when they slashed $1 trillion from health care to fund tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations. Then, they ripped away the tax credits that over 22 million Americans relied on to see a doctor. Since then, premiums have skyrocketed, forcing families to cut back on essentials, drain their savings, or downgrade to riskier plans to stay covered. In New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Colorado, families are bracing for double-digit premium hikes. Left with fewer options and higher prices, 8 million Americans — and counting — have lost coverage altogether.

Working families are sick of paying more and getting less. They are sick of making impossible choices just to make ends meet. They deserve better, and this November, they’ll demand better when they head to the ballot box and hand Trump and Republicans in Congress a long-overdue reality check.
