Washington D.C. – Trump health secretary RFK Jr. has faced wide scrutiny over his phoned-in, dysfunctional leadership at HHS and self-promotional vanity projects while taking his eye off the ball of major public health threats on multiple fronts, including record-breaking outbreaks of measles and cyclospora. Kennedy’s wildly misplaced priorities – including a dangerous anti-vax agenda that’s likely enriching his family — have not escaped public notice as a new national survey shows independents disapprove of the Secretary’s job performance by a staggering nearly two-to-one margin (59 to 30 percent).

Now, RFK Jr.’s new hosting gig on a ‘cooking show with celebrity chefs’ will likely do little to alleviate these growing concerns. The cooking show’s first episode comes as cyclosporiasis cases have now exceeded 10,000 in Michigan alone just days after Kennedy pronounced the crisis “under control.”

Brad Woodhouse, president of Protect Our Care: “RFK Jr. toy action figures. Taxpayer funded vanity podcasts obsessing over teen sperm countShirtless photo spreads with Kid Rock. Instagrams harassing snakes. Bragging about snorting cocaine off of toilet seats for the influencer bros. Maintaining ant-vax conflicts of interest that likely pad his family’s fortune. And now hosting a celebrity cooking show. Secretary Kennedy seems to have ample free time to cater to his own celebrity brand and family riches, yet can’t be bothered to deal with the deluge of active and historic public health threats. RFK Jr’s ego is clearly insatiable to the detriment of his ability to competently do his job keeping Americans safe. Resigning will give Kennedy even more time to pursue his true passion – himself.

“Maybe — just maybe — if Kennedy uses enough lettuce on his cooking show that may get past the Trump FDA amid mass food inspector layoffs, he will gain a personal interest in seriously addressing the cyclospora crisis,” added Woodhouse.
