- RFK Jr.-Linked Group Sells Access to RFK Jr., Other US Officials for Hefty Fee: On September 18th, Bloomberg reported that a nonprofit group tied to Kennedy “solicited payment [as much as $300,000] from companies [like OpenAI] in exchange for access to top agency officials at an upcoming event,” including a “private dinner” with RFK Jr himself and CMS Director Dr. Oz.
- WSJ: ‘RFK Jr. Got Free Flights to Fiji and Greece From a Top Donor’: On September 18th, the WSJ reported Sec. Kennedy “received more than $250,000 worth of free flights to Fiji and Greece as well as use of a vacation home in Washington, D.C. All were gifts from Gavin de Becker, a security consultant and supporter.
- RFK Jr. Abused Military Aircraft to Campaign for GOP: On September 10th, the Washington Post reported that RFK Jr. has been “given access to military aircraft for his travels across the country” — including political campaign stops – with a cool $9,000 an hour tab for taxpayers for the use of the Gulfstream jet. This was the exact same abuse of taxpayer dollars that led Trump’s first-term health secretary Tom Price to resign in disgrace.
- RFK Jr. Accused Of Using Taxpayer Public Health Funding To Promote His Personal Brand. On September 11th, several Senators demanded answers from RFK Jr. about his flagrant “diverting of taxpayer dollars for self-promotion projects such as a podcast and cooking show to highlight his own interests, hobbies, and brand”.
- RFK Jr. Accused Of Softening Kratom and Tobacco Policies in Quid Pro Quo. On August 3rd, Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) launched an investigation into the HHS’s industry-friendly actions on flavored vapes and kratom products, “alleging a pattern of quid pro quos after the tobacco and kratom industries made large donations to the presidential campaigns of” Donald Trump and RFK Jr. The inquiry followed a June 15th New York Times exposé detailing how RFK Jr. abused his power as health secretary to personally pressure Ohio’s governor out of a state ban on the potentially addictive mind-alternating drug Kratom, often found in gas stations and linked to “thousands of deaths”. Kennedy apparently did so on behalf of an ex-con Kratom maker who coincidently poured money into his presidential campaign coffers after it was suspended. Shortly after RFK Jr’s shady intervention, a million dollar-check from the ex-con’s company discreetly floated into a RFK Jr.-tied PAC. Wyden’s effort also followed Politico’s report in May that RFK Jr. “made the call” to grant Donald Trump’s wish and push FDA Commissioner Marty Makary out the door for not moving ‘quickly enough’ to approve addictive and harmful flavored vapes and nicotine products that appeal to American teens and kids after big tobacco interests cut a $5 million check to a Trump SuperPAC and after a fancy golf course luncheon between Trump and big tobacco and vape lobbyists.
- RFK Jr. Under Investigation Over Unresolved Financial Conflicts Including Family Profiting From Bogus Vaccine Lawsuits. On July 29th, Senators Warren, Alsobrooks, Blumenthal, and Kim opened an investigation into whether RFK Jr.’s family may be profiting from “a $50 million anti-vaccine settlement that his actions as Secretary could have influenced.” On January 27th, a letter from Senators questioned whether the Secretary’s potential HHS changes to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) could enrich his dearest allies, as well as his son who remains poised to reap lucrative legal fees from lawsuits over HPV vaccine Gardasil if the HHS pushes related special vaccine court cases to civil court.
- Reuters: ‘How to Get a Trump Pardon: Forget the DOJ, Call “Bobby”’. On July 17th, Reuters reported that Sec. Kennedy “put in a good word” for the convicted fraudster who happened to be a big GOP donor, which helped convince Donald Trump to grant a full pardon. This revelation came as no shock as Kennedy has not voiced one word of concern over the 15 times Trump pardoned health care fraudsters who collectively defrauded the federal government of over $2 billion in taxpayer money.
- RFK Jr. Flip-Flopped on Harmful Pesticide He Once Railed Against to Appease Trump Big Chemical Donors.On February 20th, RFK Jr. reversed course on his long-held glyphosate opposition to fully endorse Trump’s executive order that plowed the field for increased production of the cancer-linked pesticide ingredient as a gift to GOP chemical industry megadonors.
