In communities from coast to coast, families are being forced to drive farther for emergency treatment, expectant mothers are losing nearby birthing centers, and children are losing access to pediatric care after Donald Trump and Republicans gutted over $1 trillion from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. Nurses, doctors, hospital leaders, and patients are sounding the alarm that clinics are closing, services are disappearing, and hospitals are being pushed to the brink, especially in rural areas where there may be nowhere else to turn. Behind every closure, layoff, and service cut are hard-working families left scrambling to find care, delaying treatment, rationing medication, or wondering what will happen in the next medical emergency.

Protect Our Care’s Hospital Crisis Watch has reached over 900 hospitals, nursing homes, maternity wards, and other critical providers that have closed, cut essential services, or are at risk of doing so since Trump and Republicans made massive health care cuts.
