While Donald Trump and Republicans keep the government shut down and blow off their responsibilities to the American people, voters across the country are pointing fingers at the  GOP for their rising health insurance premiums, shuttering hospitals, and declining quality of care. The headlines are inescapable. From California to New Hampshire, Protect Our Care is making news by centering the voices of the millions of Americans whose health and financial well-being Republicans put in jeopardy. Each and every story makes it clear: it’s high time Trump and Republicans started putting health care for hard-working families before tax breaks for billionaire donors.

Tomorrow, when Affordable Care Act (ACA) open enrollment begins, over 20 million Americans will log onto Healthcare.gov to find that their 2026 health care premiums are more than doubling because the GOP ripped away tax credits for working people. After their initial sticker shock, they’ll know who’s to blame for this egregious betrayal.
