Washington, D.C. – Today, Trump Health Secretary RFK Jr and CMS Administrator Dr. Oz announced they’re halting $1 billion in Medicaid payments to California and Minnesota and punishing poor patients in need over nothing but the “smell” of fraud for which they “offered no proof.” In their latest election year fraud-themed stunt, neither official made any apology for the 15 times Donald Trump pardoned health care fraudsters, who collectively defrauded the federal government of over $2 billion in taxpayer money.

“Having zero proof of fraud didn’t stop RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz from leveling a politically motivated attack on blue state Governors, but who they’re really punishing is the most vulnerable patients and rural hospitals,” said Brad Woodhouse, president of Protect Our Care. “This is desperation, projection and sanctimony all rolled into one political stunt. The administration is desperate to distract from the GOP’s trillion-dollar Medicaid/ACA cuts to bankroll billionaire tax cuts that have left millions without coverage or paying quadruple more in premiums. RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz could not care less about fraud. If they did, they’d be asking Donald Trump why he let so many of his wealthy convicted scammer friends off the hook for billions of dollars in health care fraud that drove up costs for everyone else.”

Just last month, Reuters reported that Sec. Kennedy “put in a good word” for another convicted fraudster, who happened to be a big GOP donor, which helped convince Donald Trump to grant a full pardon.
