Washington D.C. – In peak Soviet-style authoritarianism and government overreach from the Trump administration, KFF Health News reporting reveals Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “is pursuing federal government access to most Americans’ medical records, in a quest to research a link between vaccines and autism — a connection the medical establishment studied for decades and flatly rejects.”  The Trump HHS wants the ability to rifle through “anything from doctors’ notes to prescription history,” while the department has “offered no insight into how it will protect or handle the personal health information it obtains.”

It is safe to say the egregious medical privacy violation scheme will not sit well with the public that already sees Kennedy as the least trustworthy source for health information in the country.

“RFK Jr. has stooped to snooping on Americans’ private medical records to support his fishing expedition for a shred of data that contradicts the overwhelming peer-reviewed scientific consensus that there is zero link between vaccines and autism,” said Kayla Hancock, Director of Protect Our Care’s Public Health Project. “Kennedy is the boy who cried wolf when it comes to autism and vaccines. With no credible evidence to back him up, he is willing to do anything to try to find a non-existent link, including spying on Americans’ private medical records. RFK Jr. has a long, sordid history of cherry-picking and misusing data to put his thumb on the scale for the anti-vaxxer cause, and there’s no reason to believe he wouldn’t do it again if states hand him the keys to Americans’ private medical files. Kennedy is willing to sell out patient privacy to try to prop up lucrative anti-vax lawsuits that help make his friends and family rich. The end result is predictable: more unfounded fear in vaccines will be sown, and more kids will get sick from preventable diseases while Kennedy’s close allies and lawyer friends laugh all the way to the bank.”
