New NYT reporting reveals Trump FDA officials “have blocked publication of several studies supporting the safety of widely used vaccines against Covid-19 and shingles in recent months … The studies, which cost millions of dollars in public funds, were conducted by scientists at the agency, who worked with data firms to analyze millions of patient records. They found serious side effects to be very rare.”
In response, Kayla Hancock, Director of Protect Our Care’s Public Health Project said: “Donald Trump will cavalierly sign an executive order fast-tracking FDA review of psychedelic drugs based on nothing but the word of a podcaster devoid of credibility, yet his FDA routinely squashes peer-reviewed research by their own scientists showing vaccines are safe and effective. This administration does not care how many Americans suffer from preventable diseases, so long as the anti-science elements of their base keep supporting them. Contrary to claims of its demise, the Trump-RFK Jr. HHS anti-vax agenda is here to stay and they will keep seizing any opportunity to put politics over public health.”
